BaltHUB Expands: Welcoming Sweden to Our Regional Network

BaltHUB – the Baltic Refugee Support Hub – is a regional coordination platform uniting community-based organizations from the Nordic and Baltic countries, Poland, and Ukraine. Since its formation in 2022, BaltHUB has focused on supporting war refugees, migrants, and displaced people from vulnerable groups – particularly people living with HIV (PLHIV), LGBT+ individuals, and key populations from among Ukrainian refugees. Through shared strategies, service coordination, and experience exchange, BaltHUB fosters inclusive access to health and social support across borders.

We are proud to announce the continued growth of the BaltHUB network in 2025 with the addition of a new country and member organization: Hiv-Sverige / HIV-Sweden.

With this expansion, BaltHUB now unites eight countries – Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Norway, Poland, Ukraine, and Sweden – strengthening our collective ability to support refugees and migrants living with HIV, from key populations, and those affected by war and displacement across the Baltic and Nordic region.

Hiv-Sverige / HIV-Sweden is a national advocacy and rights organization for people living with HIV in Sweden. Founded in 1990, they are committed to promoting equality, access to healthcare, and fighting HIV-related stigma and discrimination. Their team provides information, counseling, and peer support to communities in multiple languages – including Ukrainian and Russian – ensuring inclusive services for those arriving from Ukraine and beyond.

We are excited to collaborate with Hiv-Sverige and continue building a stronger, more inclusive support system across borders. Welcome to the BaltHUB family!
